Dr. Michael Todd is moving his Skin Cancer Center of Northern Virginia from Sterling offices to Lansdowne Office Park to accommodate the growing practice.
Todd has treated patients with basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma and melanoma at the Westlake Drive location in Sterling for three years.
In early May, he will begin treating patients at the new Lansdowne office at 19465 Deerfield Ave., Units 401 and 411. Among the treatments provided at the center will be the Mohs surgery, a specialized treatment to remove skin cancer, particularly those on the head and neck. "Mohs surgery offers the best of both worlds: it has the highest cure rate of any skin cancer treatment and at the same time results in the smallest wound and the best cosmetic result," Todd said.
Besides needing bigger space to meet patient demand and wanting to be closer to Inova Loudoun Hospital and medical campus, Todd said he decided on the move to reduce the driving time for his patients, about three-quarters of which live in western Loudoun.
Before the Lansdowne office opens, patients and others can reach the center at the old location at 703-444-6400. After the move, patients can call the Lansdowne office at 703-723-5700. For more information, visit www.sccnv.com.
