The Thomas Balch Library is currently hosting the photography of local artist Judith P. Lillis.
The Massachusetts native moved to Leesburg with her husband and children in 1978, seeking to capitalize on her photography skills that had been honed since her husband first introduced her to a 35mm camera in 1968. Her passion for the art grew into a business by 1996, as her work garnered both local and national attention.
Lillis' work has been commissioned by Oatlands Plantation and the George C. Marshall International Center, and has been displayed in numerous regional art shows as well as featured at the Atlantic Gallery in Georgetown in 2001.
Eighteen of Lillis' framed images of historic Loudoun County will be displayed at Thomas Balch Library through July.
