The Loudoun Community Health Center is offering free school physicals for children entering kindergarten, preschool and those elementary-school-age children who require physicals to attend school. The physicals will be conducted on two consecutive Saturdays, Aug. 9 and Aug. 16, from 9 a.m. until noon.
No appointment is necessary. Children will be seen on a first-come, first-served basis, however, parents are strongly encouraged to call 703-443-2082 to leave a message indicating which day they plan to bring their children so that the Health Center can adequately prepare. Parents must bring the child's previous shot records.
The Junior League will provide each child with a new backpack filled with school supplies.
The Loudoun Community Health Center's family doctors care for anyone in need, regardless of a patient's ability to pay or their insurance status. It is the only nonprofit caring for patients of all ages, including children and senior citizens, in Loudoun County. The Loudoun Community Health Center opened its doors last year and has cared for nearly 2,300 patients.
The Free School Physical Days are being offered in conjunction with National Health Center Week, which is celebrated across the country during the week of Aug. 10.
The Loudoun Community Health Center is located on the third floor at 224-A Cornwall St. in Leesburg.
