High School Site Moves Forward: Land Use Application Review Starts In Spring

With no action from the Board of Supervisors last week, the contract and plans to build the county's next high school on the National Conference Center property in Lansdowne will move forward as the due diligence period ended quietly Feb. 17.

‘Road Club’ To Fund Widening Of Rt. 659 Segement

It has been more than 15 years since the Broadlands-Route 659 Transportation Improvement Fund was created by the Board of Supervisors to be used to pay for road improvements in the Rt. 659 corridor. And it has been almost 10 years since developers in the area first sat down with the county staff to discuss the possibility of creating a "road club," where proffers and cash contributions could be pooled and used to widen Belmont Ridge Road between the Dulles Greenway and Truro Parish Drive.
